  1. What are the programmes offered by FMS?
    • FMS offers the following programs:
      • MBA (Full Time)
      • MBA-Executive
      • MBA-Executive (Health Care Administration)
      • Ph.D.
  2. How many seats are available for MBA programmes beginning in July 2018?
    • MBA (Full Time) 2018-20: Total seats 200. (Unreserved: General (101), Reserved: OBC (54); SC (30), ST (15).
    • MBA Executive 2018-20: Total seats 159. (Unreserved: General (80), Reserved: OBC (43), SC (24), ST (12).
    • MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) 2018-20: Total seats 39. (Unreserved: General (20), Reserved: OBC (10), SC (6), ST (3).
    • PhD programme: Total seats 30. (Unreserved: General (15), Reserved: OBC (8), SC (5), ST (2).
    Additionally, there will be Supernumerary Seats for PWD and CW category candidates as per the rules of University of Delhi.
  3. What are these different Categories of Seat?
    • Each applicant will choose to apply in one of the following Nine Categories: Open or Unreserved (Gen), Scheduled Class (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class, non-creamy layer (OBC), Physical Disability (PWD1) , Intellectual disability, the condition characterized by significant limitation both in intellectual functioning (reasoning, learning, problem-solving) and in adaptive behaviour which covers a range of every day, social and practical skills (PWD2) , Mental behaviour (PWD3) , Disability caused due to chronic neurological conditions and Blood disorder (PWD4) , Multiple disabilities (more than one of the above-specified disabilities) include deaf-blindness which means a condition in which a person may have combination of hearing and visual impairments causing severe communication, developmental, and educational problems (PWD5) , Children of Defense Personnel killed/disabled in Action (CW1), Children of Defense Personnel killed/disabled on Duty (CW2), Widows/Wards of Defence Personnel who died in peace time with death attributable to military service (CW3), Wards of Defence Personnel disabled in peace time with disability attributable to military service (CW4), Wards of Ex-Servicemen and Serving Personnel including Police Personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards (CW5), Foreign Nationals not studying in India (FS).
  4. When are classes held for MBA Executive evening programmes?
    • All MBA programmes of FMS require regular classroom attendance—a minimum of 75% of the classes held in each course. While full-time programme classes are held from 09.00 hr until afternoon on all six days of the week, MBA Executive programme classes are held in the evening from 18.15 hr to 21.00 hr, 6 days in the week. Some elective courses may also be offered on Saturday.
      MBA (FT) classes are held in the North Campus and classes of one section of MBA Executive are held at the FMS centre (S.P.Jain Management Centre) on the South Campus of Delhi University. MBA(HCA) programme for Medical Professionals is held only in the North Campus facility of FMS.
  5. Is there any other programme that FMS offers?
    • FMS offers no other Degree or Diploma programme or any programme based on Distance Learning/ Correspondence/ Week-end classrooms. The only other programme offered by FMS is full-time PhD programme that has different eligibility criteria.
  6. What should OBC candidates do?
    • OBC Candidates need to send both caste and non-creamy layer certificate to claim reservations against OBC quota. Creamy layer OBC candidate needs to apply as General category candidate.
  7. What should PWD candidates do?
    • Physical Disability (PWD1) , Intellectual disability, the condition characterized by significant limitation both in intellectual functioning (reasoning, learning, problem-solving) and in adaptive behaviour which covers a range of every day, social and practical skills (PWD2) , Mental behaviour (PWD3) , Disability caused due to chronic neurological conditions and Blood disorder (PWD4) , Multiple disabilities (more than one of the above-specified disabilities) include deaf-blindness which means a condition in which a person may have combination of hearing and visual impairments causing severe communication, developmental, and educational problems (PWD5) and send the certificates accordingly. Note that only those candidates who qualify the test in their respective PWD category and are cleared by the Medical Board of the University of Delhi set up for such test-qualified candidates will receive call letters for the GD & PI.
  8. What should CW candidates do?
    • CW (Children of War Widow) candidates need to clearly enclose the category of CW. CW1 (Armed forces including paramilitary personnel Killed/Disabled in Action) candidates will have preemptive claim over all other CW category candidates (such as CW2: Armed forces including paramilitary personnel Killed/Disabled while on Duty). Entitlement Certificate only from Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board Delhi; Secretary, Rajya/Zila Sainik Board; Officer-in-Charge, Record Office; and First Class Stipendiary Magistrate is acceptable.
  9. What should Foreign Students (FS) do?
    • All Foreign Nationals seeking admission to MBA programmes should apply through the office of Deputy Dean (Foreign Students), conference centre, Opposite Botany Department, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007, India latest by February 28, 2018.
    • There is no quota for NRI or PIO and all such candidates need to take the entrance test as General Category Candidates.
  10. What are the tentative dates for holding GD and personal interview?
    • GD and personal interviews of successful candidates will be held in March/ April 2018.
  11. Is attestation of certificates required?
    • FMS accepts self-attested copies of documents/papers provided by the students. It is made clear that if any false attestation/falsified records are detected, the student will be debarred from attending any course of the University for the next five years. In addition, a criminal case under the relevant section of IPC (viz. 470, 471, 474 IPC etc.) will be instituted against him to subject him to the requisite criminal proceeding.
  12. Is there any Hostel accommodation available for pursuing two-year MBA Programme?
    • Yes, hostel accommodation is available for students pursuing full-time MBA & PhD programmes. However, under the present rules of the University of Delhi, the residents of Delhi are not entitled to apply for highly subsidized hostel facilities.
  13. Is there any one-year specialization programme in Marketing, Finance or in any other area?
    • No, FMS, University of Delhi does not offer any programme of one-year duration.

  15. Where is FMS Located?
    • FMS is located on the campus of University of Delhi. The Administrative Office is situated in Delhi University North Campus, on Malkajganj Road, in front of Kirori Mal College and behind Delhi School of Economics of University of Delhi. FMS also has its own premise (S.P.Jain Management Centre) in the University of Delhi South Campus (Near Dhaula Kuan, on Benito Juarez Road). Currently one section of MBA Executive programme is conducted from the South Campus facility of FMS.
  16. Is appearing for CAT 2017 mandatory for all the candidates applying for the FMS for admissions 2018?
    • YES, appearing for CAT 2017 is mandatory for ALL the candidates applying for the FMS Admission 2018 in the University of Delhi.
  17. Is the online registration mandatory for all the candidates applying for the FMS Online Admission 2018 admission?
    • YES, online registration is mandatory for ALL the candidates applying for the FMS Online Admission 2018 in the University of Delhi.
  18. I would like to change my “Applicant’s course and personal details”, which I filled during the “registration”. Can I do that?
    • NO, you cannot change that information at any later stage of the process. Be careful in filling the information.
  19. Can I submit the fee through any other method, like demand draft etc?
    • NO, the registration fee is accepted only through the Online payment options available in the registration portal.
  20. My internet got disconnected while filling the form. What should I do?
    • When you get the internet connection, login again with your credentials and fill the information again.
  21. Can I correct my mistake in the registration/application form?
    • NO modifications in the form are allowed once fee payment is made. Before making the online payment, you can edit your application form.
  22. I have uploaded the wrong Photo/ID Proof/ Signature. Can I change it?
    • NO. Photo/ID Proof/ Signature once submitted cannot be changed.
  23. Do I need to send Hard Copy of the form?
    • Yes. You are required to send the printed version of the Application Acknowledgement Form along with the appropriate documents to The Administrative Officer, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi–110007 on or before 18th December 2017.
  24. Can two candidates apply from the same account?
    • NO, only single candidate can apply from an account for FMS Online Admission 2017.
  25. How can I upload self-attested ID Proof?
    • Take a photocopy of your ID Proof.
    • Self-attest it.
    • Scan it and upload.
  26. Where will the FMS admission process be conducted post getting the shortlist?
    • Post getting the shortlist the admission process of FMS will be conducted at FMS, North Campus - on Malkajganj Road, in front of Kirori Mal College and behind Delhi School of Economics of University of Delhi.
